About me

What I make

I create wheel-thrown stoneware and earthenware pottery. My primary interest is in creative but simple functional pottery. Craftwork  that is both  beautiful and useful always catches my attention and is my favourite type of pottery. In terms of tableware like cups, bowls and plates, I prefer to work in sets rather than one-off pieces.

After 12 years of filling my family's home with functional pottery  that, to my eye, refers to the earth and  the history of everyday ceramics, it's my pleasure to share it with you.

Where I make it

I make and fire all of my pottery in my home studio in Bragg Creek, Alberta. Bragg Creek is a village located in the forested foothills between Calgary and the Rocky Mountains.

Prior to this, I learned and created for eight years with a small art collective in the basement of the former Chinook Continued Learning  building in Calgary.
